How I Am Spending My Days/Money!

I am presently hunting down people from my elementary and highschool days on Facebook. The site seems slightly pointless, and I am never sure whom I know well enough to add...but the hunt itself is enjoyable.

My poker life is a really dull rollercoaster. I am never up too high, nor down too low, just remaining even steven. I have made a crucial decision in life to NOT get upset about a bad beat. If I am constantly getting "sucked out on" then it means I always have my money in the middle with the best hand. Hopefully this positive outlook will change my fortune!

Will ball season ever start?

Sealing The Deal

I can not close out a poker tournament. I cruise to the money with a chip lead, but can not seal the deal. I am tired of finishing third in a Sit N Go when I totally dominate. They seem to come down to a lottery situation where the other dude is just going all in every hand. Even if I have the best hand, it's still just BINGO!!!

I recently dressed as a clown for the first time in my life. If you reach for the stars, one day you will get a handful of heaven.

Random Songs That Have Tickled My Ears

We Used To Vacation - Cold War Kids
Disco Infiltrator - LCD Soundsystem
Flathead - The Fratellis

I have been listening to a lot of Cold War Kids in the past couple months, and I am suprised by how much I enjoy Fall Out Boy. I consider Fall Out Boy to be a guilty pleasure.

...for posts sake.

Blogs Are Tedious

I have come to the conclusion that blogging is a tedious task. I don't care for tedious tasks. I have been busy with all kinds of bloggable materials, yet I haven't blogged in a while. For the record, Mardi Gras parties rule! No matter what you think about them prior to the actual date, and when you constantly point out that the "Mardi" literally translates to "Tuesday" and the party is on a Saturday...hypocrisy! Despite those things, the parties are well worth attending. I missed out on an evening of poker festivities due to the party, but spending an evening dressed as a creepy clown made up for that tiny detail.

Keep on blogging in the free world.

Golfing, Squashing, Poking

Easter weekend was an overall success. T'was a weekend filled with squash matches, some poker, then on Tuesday it was topped with 9 holes of golf. Only a couple of those holes had snow on the ground, and it only hailed for about 3 minutes!

As you can tell from the posts, life is slow. Soon I hope to have plenty of interesting news about softball and good times.

Dominate

I just got home from a squash tournament in Smithers. I must say, it was probably the best squash experience I have had since I started playing the game. Playing out of town was nice since it left no responsibilities aside from being at the court at the time of your match. I ran the table in my division and lost merely one of the 16 games I played. In fact, in my final game I gave up exactly one point. 27-1. I ended up with the prime prize of an iPod Shuffle, which I promptly gave away.

Aside from the game itself, the weekend was fantastic. Stayed with the parents of a friend, which saved valuable money and enabled myself to have more fun. The house was beautiful, the breakfasts were delicious, and kinder people I have yet to meet.
